Logic Pro Orchestral Template
Hey guys! Hope you’re enjoying the new website. Been a long time in the making and I’m happy to finally get it off the ground.
I have a little treat for you today. If you don’t have Logic Pro 9, I’m sorry. :( However, those of you who do, this free download is for you.
I spent an hour or so today putting together a template of sorts that illustrates how Logic can be utilized to create awesome orchestral soundtracks. Go ahead and download it and mess around with it. Feel free to email what you’ve made at andrewgerlichermusic@gmail.com.
Download the save file here.
Don’t forget to browse around and take a look things like automation, busses, etc.
Nothing fancy. Just a little something I threw together.
Finally, if things like this interest you, let me know. Post a comment below. I love the feedback. Perhaps I’ll make more? :D

PS: If for some reason it doesn’t open, it could be because I made the file in 64-bit. To open your version of Logic in 64-bit mode, simply right click the Logic icon in Finder, click “Get Info”, then check the box marked “open in 64-bit mode”. Then relaunch Logic!
A very interesting comp!! its good to see up close and personal a fully arranged piece from someone else. I’d love to see more of this in the future!
I can’t tell you how EXCITED i am about this music site. I am a composer myself but no where near as good as you. The music you write is outstanding! Please teach more how you compose and get your ideas.
I’m excited about it as well. There’s some awesome content we’re putting together right now. It’s going to be great.
Great site, thank you for the download! Glad I stumbled upon this. Great information for budding composers. Cheers!

Can’t thank you enough for the info you’re posting as I was so frustrated earlier because I’ve been so overwhelmed with learning how to compose in Logic via MIDI Hollywood Strings but your tips and advice have given me hope to move forward. Since I’m just starting out it can be so challenging between finding realistic string patches that work for the specific piece you’re trying to write. Then once you find them, tracking it and editing the notes one by one in the MIDI editor can become so tedious. With your help I should be able to approach MIDI more efficiently so I can write/record more and tweak less!
